Hunted for morels in Franklin Co. Pa. yesterday - got skunked. Found two agusticeps in Washington Co. Md. today. They were in an area that has been reliable for early morels in the past. They were on a nearly flat bench that managed to hold a little moisture. It was so dry in the woods that some wildflowers were begining to wilt. The next good soaking rain should bring morels in better numbers. Soil temps are up and given a good rain I would not be suprised if several species spring up concurently rather than in sequence.
