I got a report and glimpsed the fruitbodies......black morels are up in the State College Area.  I had a hard time accepting that they were up already...but then again it has been so warm...and I have dandelions flowering already in my yard.  I pressed the individual over and over for the location..nada...but when I said it was likely along Spring Creek near the fly fishing only area, in Bellefonte..he laughed and said he had already been there...and perhaps he would wave at me when I pulled in to collect.  Sorry guys but that is the best report I can give.......March 20th--black morels...near Spring Creek....never would have guessed that.
