40.51238 North 77.598023 West From Mifflintown. Take route 35 South,after you cross the bridge over the Juniata River, turn right onto route 333 West. In .04 miles turn left onto Licking Street ( this will turn into Licking Creek Road) State Route 4002. Go 12 miles, picnic area is on the left. Thanks Bill Hain.

Guidelines for all walks

Wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Insect spray is a good idea too. Bring water, sometimes we are walking for several hours. No food is generally provided so bring a snack if you want. Be sure you are physically capable of going on an extended hike. You are responsible for not getting lost! We will not wait for you, we will not come look for you. Bring a basket or bag ( not plastic) to collect. A knife to dig up specimens is also a good idea.
