Logs from March are fruiting

The shiitake logs that we inoculated as a group in March are now fruiting! That's pretty quick! We just left them under the deck and haven't done anything with them. (Too big to soak!) The wet weather with temperature variations have forced them to put up 3 beautiful mushrooms. My older logs are now fruiting as well.

shitake logs

patty told me acouple weeks ago she saw a mushroom on our logs,I forgot about it until I read the blog so I ran down and checked them,9:45pm.Sure enough we had a dried up shitake.we've had so many wild mushrooms I was too distracted to remember the shitakes.Chris C.
